Retrospective Conversion

The ADT software can also be used for retrospective conversion of existing theses as well. This would require the theses to be scanned with the author or agent (usually library staff) doing the deposit using the ADT form/software. This process was fully tested during the initial modelling phase of the ADT project.

The University of Melbourne was responsible for this part of the project. The ADT team there have built up the necessary expertise and developed a good practice model for retrospective scanning of theses. Melbourne University Library will be available to provide advice and necessary expertise to new participants on a cost basis.
