Sculpting the Capricorn Coast, Banner
BorderBorderBorder

Before The Bluff road was first blasted in 1894 traffic had to make its way across sand-dunes, (see "Shifting Sands") travel along the beach, and cross sand dunes again to rejoin the road north. Since 1894 The Bluff road has been redeveloped many times, but most substantially in the late 1930s, the mid-1960s, and in the mid-1980s. The blasted cliff face and double-lane road is now one of the Capricorn Coast’s most striking seascape features.
